Wasn't very impressed, especially after reading all of the reviews. We did get free soup at the start of the meal. The staff was always there but they weren't very friendly and they just took the order, dropped off food, picked it up, and that was it. I liked the curry puff app, but my sister thought it was just ok. Definitely like the pad see ew and drunken noodles at other thai places MUCh better than here. It was just OK...not horrible and not great. Was surprised at the number of people there for lunch.

My husband and I love this place!! The Bangkok LoMein is so delicious. I order mine extra spicy. My husband loves the Goong Kao Poad Aan #50 The service is great too. We eat there once a week and the menu never disappoints. Free soup with lunch is a plus, and the prices are pretty nice considering the vicinity to the National Harbor. Just a great place to eat.

I've been to this place a few times now and it doesn't disappoint. My go-tos are the thai tea, drunken noodles, spring rolls, papaya salad, and crispy duck. They're as good as any Thai food I've had in NoVA or DC. The bonus is that I don't have to go too far to enjoy this place. If you're in the area, stop by.

Did not mind this place at all. 3 stars on quality and selection, an extra star for making Pad Si Ew/Lad Na with kana and not broccoli! Ordered a similar dish to Nam Tok that was pretty good, not a very large portion size but still tasty. No sticky rice, which was a huge disappointment but overall the food was not a disappointment. If I lived in the area I'd come again! (Nice interior/decor if that matters to you)

I must say that I do not know a thing about Thai food. One day, while craving something different during my pregnancy, I decided to try some Thai food. I called and asked for something that had chicken and rice but no other vegetables besides broccoli since I am a picky eater. The employee suggested their Basil Chicken, which I tried, and have never looked back. I don't get anything but this dish, and love it every time. Their food tastes great and the quality has never wavered. It's a great portion size and I am satisfied after my meal. I read reviews of this place before trying it, and I must say that it has held up to every one of my expectations and is the only place I go to for Thai food in Maryland.

Let's jump right into it, shall we? As a native Thai, I highly recommend this place. When I go back home to Washington DC, this is the Thai place I often visit (beside my own mom's kitchen of course). It's not your standard americanized Thai dishes (although you can probably ask for "mild"), it's quite different and reminds me of native home. I have tried many items on their large menu selection, so far everything was freaking spectacular from Thai iced tea, roasted duck salad, spicy seafood stir-fry, chili garlic flounder, drunken noodle to mango with sticky rice. I'd say that curries are probably their weakest items on the menu but they are still pretty good. In addition, they also have other Thai dishes on the menu that are not available at your typical Thai restaurants. Did I mention nice service and atmosphere? No doubt one of my top Thai restaurants in US.

This is my most favorite Thai restaurant in the area. I eat there at least once a month and sometimes twice. I've been a patron since 1992. I remember the owner back then, but it has since changed hands. The food is just as good, but the servings are now much much smaller. Oh well, prices go up and portion sizes diminish. I judge other Thai restaurants by this one, and the only one that was better was in Orlando, FL near Sea World, and that was over 20 years ago. No other Thai restaurant in the area holds a candle to Bangkok Golden. My brother swears I'm prejudiced. Their chicken larb is the best, and the free appetizer soup at lunch is great. I love it so much, I usually order a large to take home. I like the red curry with chicken. I prefer the way they prepare it because it's not swimming in grease like I've had at other places. The only thing I would like them to do is add another spring roll to the appetizer. They only give you 3 mini sized rolls with a side of curly carrot strings and chili sauce. The restaurant is small, but clean, and they have remodeled in the last year or two. The service is prompt and friendly. Parking is free because the restaurant is located in a small shopping center.

I love this place. We have very few non-chain restaurants in our area so that's the first thing that makes this place stand out. But, the food is excellent, which makes the place a winner. Very inexpensive meals, hearty portions and very kind staff make this my favorite lunch spot or dinner choice with the family. I love their soups and Bangkok noodles most of all!

Finally found a Thai place near my house! Massaman curry was fabulous with beef...usually potatoes can be under done, these were perfect. Pork fried rice not very flavorful and chopped tomatoes made it tough to pick them out. Chicken satay and spring rolls excellent! Fat service.

I can't believe it took me this long to write a review of this restaurant! I have been eating here since they opened in in 1998. Back then , I was still living back home with mom and dad down in Fort Washington. These days, I still drive over 20 miles out of my way to get Thai food from this restaurant. It is certainly one of the best in the DC area. Everything I've had on the menu is great. It is well worth the trip down from DC.

My daughter and I happened upon this fabulous restaurant about a month ago. We have been twice now and drive from Alexandria, Va. We are also taking my son for the first time tonight. The papaya salad is outstanding, the drunken noodles are fresh and flavorful, the eggplant is seasoned perfectly. The service is great and it is definitely the best Thai restaurant in the metropolitan area.

The lemon grass soup is amazing. The pad thai is the best I've ever had, and I really haven't been a fan of other restaurants because of the pad thai here. The fried duck is so good. I can't remember the exact name for it but they deep fry the duck and they put it with fried basal leaves. Amazing but it's really greasy so I can only have a little before I get queasy but it's worth it for the flavor. The fried calamari is delicious. Always crispy and never soggy. They have great wide noodles here..I forgot the name..it's not the drunken noodles, it's a sweeter version. The tempura vegetables are good. My friends like the tropical fried rice but I'm not a fan of the pineapple in it. I would choose the crab fried rice instead. The soft shell crab is good, but for the price I'd rather get the tempura shrimp with veggies. My one complaint is that they've made some renovations on the place which look better but make the place uncomfortable. I'm short and I'm tiny so five of me can fit on one side of a booth and the tables are so tall that they're up to my chest. I have to eat indian style or sitting on my legs to get the food. It's kinda' funny if you think about it, lol but it's worth it because I love the food.

This is a pretty standard Thai restaurant. But it's also a sentimental favorite of mine. They've never disappointed, not in service and not in the food they've served--not for as long and as many times as I've come here over the years. In this part of Fort Washington, they are the only restaurant around. Though the Gaylord is just down the street, you can get your fill of Thai favorites here for about half the price. Okay, sure, the place is in a sketchy-looking strip mall, but be cool. Everyone else is.

My absolute favorite Asian food (including Chinese, Japanese, Thai, etc.) ANYWHERE in the DMV! Everything is always fresh, flavorful and delicious. The waiters and waitresses know us well by now & even play with my young kids before and after our meal when they get a little restless. I don't know what these people writing bad reviews are talking about. We've been countless times over the past 2+ years since we discovered this gem and never has it been less than amazing. Bangkok Golden in Fort Washington is the best Thai place in the DC area. I've tried places in town and in the various suburb areas, but keep coming back to Bangkok Golden. Over the years, we've worked our way through most of the menu. It's all good. The curries. The noodle and fried rice dishes. The veggie and meat combos. Great taste, perfect temperature, and served in a reasonable amount of time. The staff at Bangkok Golden is great, as well. Friendly, efficient, and they remember regulars. I highly recommend this restaurant.

closest decent thai place from where I live. Easy to find and the prices are reasonable. Lunch is until 3pm so I got there just in time to order some take out. Only waited 10 mins. The staff was nice. Inside looks clean and decorative. WOuld go back to try out the other dishes. I only got pad thai this time for 6.95 at lunch! 2.50 for the thai iced tea that was yummy. Been really craving it.

Read reviews about this place so I took my wife here for our anniversary. I was very impressed with service and food. We both tried something new and out of the box for both of us. I had the Drunken Noodles and she had the Bangkok Noodles. Both dishes were great, but I must say that hers was better than mine! Also the price was great. We had an appetizer, two Thai Iced Teas, two entrees, and our bill was under $30. If your in the mood for some Thai food and in the Fort Washington area, then this is the place for you.

Who can resist a restaurant that doubles as a babysitter? Okay, so they didn't babysit, but they did take it upon themselves to take my kid and play with her for a bit towards the end of the meal. I've always loved this particular Thai restaurant. The food is outstanding and their prices are reasonable. I haven't gone inside to sit down and eat in a long while, so I was surprised that they've updated their interior. It's very sleek and modern, but still very clean. The servers, although they seem abrupt, are quite attentive and ready to help. Definitely give this place a try if you're in the mood for Thai!

Second time I've been here and it is definitely a gem in good ol' Fort Washington MD. Just to have variety and a bit of culture in the area ain't that bad. This restaurant has been here for some years but have never actually eaten here till recently. I hope it always stays in business. Coming from New York City this is a pretty good go to Thai restaurant. It has all the Thai favorites Pad Thai, drunken noodles, Fried Squid (Crispy Calamari), Thai iced tea, and wonderful duck entrees and your red, green curry dishes. Nothing necessarily ingenious but really damn good. Eat here if you're in the area! It's never too packed and you'll definitely have a seat with fast service!

This is a cool little place. I always order the Pad See Ew (one time I got it, it didn't taste as good as the others). I've tasted the Lo Mein and another dish that I can't remember - pretty tasty. I also like sticky rice with mango. I like this place because the prices are good, I can eat in or carry out, and I don't have to go into DC for Thai (I hate trying to find parking).

My usual, please! Pad thai chicken and Tom Yum Gai! This is my baseline for all Thai restaurants. I prefer to have my pad thai a wet, not dry. It's much better that way. The Tom yum is tangy and spicy and totally hits the spot, real well.

Unfortunately, I have to upgrade my review of this place after several visits. To sum it up bluntly, the service here is HORRIBLE. These are the worst waiters and waitresses I've ever experienced! The most recent times we came for dinner (note that it is usually pretty empty for dinner-should have guessed why) and had to take the food back. This time, we ordered the Pad See Eww which is usually good during lunch, however at dinner time the same can't be said. You know the food isn't fresh and good when it takes only 1-2 minutes for it to come out. The noodles appeared old, soggy, and sticky. Basically inedible and disgusting. We asked the waitress to take it back and they always try to argue making it seem like it is the customer's fault! My goodness, the food appeared to be recycled from earlier in the day and just not very good. She finally agreed to replace our orders with something else. Had the bangkok lo mein (just ok) and wife had the bangkok fried rice (didn't eat it really and not very good). Asked for a refund for the latter and she argued stating that a shrimp or two was eaten and could only give half a refund. Absurd! We took the offer anyway and left pretty disappointed. As other reviewers stated, the servers are not polite and rude. Sadly, we will no longer give this place our business. The inconsistency of the food and horrible service really hurts this establishment.

Probably the best Thai food in the metro area; you can make an argument for Duangrats--certainly the decor is better there and you can get a mixed drink. However, for the consistent quality and value that Bangkok Golden offers, you can't beat it. The pad thai is good--again there are restaurants that probably do it better. Larb gai and the penangs can't be beat. The soft shell crab is every bit as good as Duangrats plus you can have it prepared with your choice of sauce. Chow foon (Lad Na) is quite good. Lunch specials are excellent bargains.

Stuck in SE for the day? Well I've been trying to give PG County a chance. I headed to this place based on Yelp reviews. Nestled into a strip mall near Livingston Road (yes there are tons of them so don't get lost). It's great to have an Asian option that's not a carry out. However, my drunken noodles left a lot for my palette to desire. In contrast, the papaya salad was great.

Best Thai food in the area. And I've been to all of em around the DC/Baltimore area. I'd give it 5 stars but I got two gripes... 1) Food portions seem to get smaller by the year. 2) Management and staff don't seem to have an understanding of customer service in regards to going the extra mile. I've been coming regularly since they opened in '98. I have always been satisfied wiht their good and used to be just as satisfied with their service. Things have changed more recently and like Neil C. said below, I go allll the time, alone and with friends and family and still feel like a stranger there. There used to be a male manager who was very friendly and delivered and everything. As a matter of fact, they and one of my other Thai restaurants made me believe that Thai people are extremely polite. I still do believe this, but their service is not as great as it used to be. Someone stated that portions have gotten smaller and I agree. Others stated that this is the best in the DC area and I DEFINITELY disagreee. No one beats Duangrats as far as I'm concerned. Really, there is no competition with Duangrats unless you count Rabieng, her sister restaurant. That said, there are hmmm, 2 restaurants in Fort Washington and you can't go wrong with this one :-)

I enjoyed my meal at Bangkok Golden. This place is located near the Guy's house and we were in the mood for a sit down lunch so we ventured on in on Friday afternoon. Bangkok is located in a little strip mall right on Livingston Road. The decor is gold and black for the most part. The ladies working in Bangkok were very nice and friendly. Everything was very delicious. We ordered drunken noodles and shrimp fried rice. We also ordered a crab ball appetizer that was listed as a special and not on the regular menu. This food was so good!! Everything was fresh and very delicious. The food came out piping hot with huge portions. We totally loved this place and will definitely be going back.

Going back to Bangkok Golden (no affiliation with the Lao spot in Falls Church) after 12 years was very nostalgic for me. I used to go often when I worked in the area after I first moved to DC. Pro tip: When I asked if the menu's beef noodle soup was floating market noodle soup, they happily (and surprisingly) offered to make the appropriate additions - and made it deliciously spicy upon request as well, using multiple types of chiles. Definitely satiated my craving. You're not going to find it anywhere else in PG County.

So we came here on a weeknight after shopping at the Outlets (~3 mi away) and sat in HORRIFIC traffic. I don't think there was an accident or anything but the one lane road was packed. We arrived starving and immediately ordered Tom Yum with chicken and the chicken satay. They were both really tasty. In fact - one of the best Tom Yum soups I've had. The cucumber sauce with the chicken satay was also amazing. My fiance got the red curry with chicken and I got my usual - drunken noodles with chicken (MILD). His food came out relatively quick. My food however, not so quick. He had his meal a good 10 minutes before me. The woman dropped his meal off and didn't say anything about where mine was. No server stopped by to tell me it would be a few minutes or that it was on the way or anything. No one even made eye contact with me. Eventually, my fiance got up and asked where my food was and they said it was coming. Kind of annoying. I insisted he start eating so it wouldn't get cold, so he did but was almost finished by the time mine came. Good thing it was piping hot and delicious or else I would have been really frustrated. They are a little stingy on the chicken but overall the flavor was great. Wouldn't go as far to say this is one of the best drunken noodles I've ever had but it was pretty darn good. Another thing, there was a hair in my glass of water. REALLY GROSS. I know it wasn't mine because it was shorter than my hair and it was jet black. I don't have black hair. My guess is it came from the water jug she was refilling with because I didn't notice it until the end of our meal.

Found this gem over the weekend. I ordered beef Pad Se Ew, sun dried beef, and the Tom Kha Goong soup for takeaway. It was a good amount of food, comparable to what you'd expect to get at a Chinese takeout shop and prices were about the same too. But, even though it was a lot of food, I didn't have any leftovers. The sun dried beef was a bit like extra thick, chewy jerky, but tasted good especially when paired with the slightly spicy & tangy sauce that comes with it. The tasted fantastic. It wasn't as opaque as some Tom Kha soups I've had, but the flavor was there, the shrimp were tender, and it had just the right amount of spice. My only complaint with the soup is some of the herb stems were too hard to enjoy and I ended up dredging them out... something like inch long needles. Anyway, the main course, Pad Se Ew is definitely a comfort food. Wide noodles with spinach and beef in a delicious sauce? Yes please! I've definitely found a new favorite for the area. Last note: I can't give BG five stars only because there's no way to see their menu without actually going to the restaurant first. They have plenty of menus to give out, but they really need to put it online.

We come here sometimes when we don't feel like driving out to Waldorf because it's one of the only restaurants near our house. I note that my opinion of Bangkok Golden differs from most other reviewers' but I stand by my assessment! Servers are not friendly but get the job done. Menu is large, lots to choose from which is nice. The food always comes out SUPER quickly and tastes fine; nothing wrong with anything I've ever ordered but nothing's ever knocked my socks off either. Portion sizes are average. Overall, I'd say it's probably too expensive for what you get although not outrageous. I would definitely say this is a solid 2.5 star restaurant - I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here but know I'll return because it's good enough and convenient.

Nice ambiance, roomy, and polite prompt service. Don't expect the waitresses to be warm and friendly though. In fact, I didn't see any of them (there were 4) smiling. I can't recall if anybody asked how my meal was. But then again I wasn't surprised given the only interaction was to give my order and to bring out my food. My food order: Green curry - nice sauce with lots of bamboo shoots which I really liked Pad Se Yu - well cooked noodles and a tasty savory light sauce Fried Rice - ok not outstanding. I was hoping for a more wok charred flavor Try this place out but I'd recommend to avoid their impersonal service and to avoid tipping for the same service you would have gotten doing take out.

Yum, yum and yum again. Order the green curry. You won't be disappointed. I am so glad I discovered this restaurant. I love Thai Food and I especially love the Green Curry. I always order the veggie green curry and ask them to add tofu. I needed a restaurant in Southern Prince Georges County that did not send me into bankruptcy like the Thai Restaurant at the Harbor. The food is always, always hot and delicious! A true gem in PG County.

Cheap, and very good food. I've been to Thailand (although I'm no expert), and I think the food Bangkok Golden serves is the closest to what I was eating in Thailand. I mostly order the pad see ewe, and I think they get the texture of the noodles closest to what I was enjoying in Thailand. The price is pretty good compared to the Thai restaurants closer to DC. I usually come here with coworkers for lunch, and they are able to serve us and get us back out to work fairly quickly (I never feel rushed, though).

I love this place. It's truly my favorite Thai place and is a staple in the Fort Washington area. I've eaten here with friends and family for about 12 years and it is still amazing. Totally recommend the fried squid, Tom Yum Talay, Green Curry and my go-to, Fried Chicken Noodle.

Love this place for a great lunch joint. Nice priced and the order comes with excellent tasting soup. The choices are plentiful as well. Good thing it's not so close to the office because I'd be there daily, and morph into a short round.

Still the best Thai restaurant ever. I took my niece here last week for some QT after I picked her up from school. I ordered my usual and she ordered hers (yes, my 7 year-old niece has a usual order at a Thai restaurant lol). I always order their green curry with tofu in lieu of meat, and my niece always orders a large wonton soup with no vegetables. For appetizer, kenom jeeb (shumai, siomai, shaomai, etc.), and dessert, fried banana rolls with ice cream. Good eats.

I am not Thai, let me start there. I also have to say that I have never dined-in. I always take out. If I had to take an educated guess, I would say that this is probably the most authentic Thai food one can find in the area. It's a little pricey, but I find it's worth it. My favorite dishes are: Lard Na Talay - Wide rice noodles with a variety of large, delicious seafood entities and a yummy sauce - However, it's expensive, so you can get almost the same effect by ordering... Drunken Noodles with Seafood and a must try (in my opinion) is the Pork and Seaweed Soup (which is also quite healthy) I've posted some quick, slightly blurry photos of the menu, which I hope you'll find helpful. The restaurant is always quick and appears clean (though you can't see the kitchen). By far, the best take out joint I've found in the area.

The green curry tofu is hot and spicy just the way I like it. Not only does it taste good, the medicinal side effect of opening the sinuses during allergy season is a pleasant surprise. The Thai ice tea is a nice addition. Hold on to your palate and wait for the hot kick on your first bite.

Can't say enough good things about this place. I love everything here! The service is top notch. The ladies that wait on you are always friendly and everything comes out relatively quickly. We have never been there longer than an hour from the minute we sit down to when we get the check. The food is always flavorful. I highly recommend starting with spring rolls and calamari. These items will not disappoint. In the past, my husband and I have tried the pad Thai, the Bangkok noodle, basil fried rice, and the drunken noodle dishes and everything was delicious. Leave room for dessert to end your experience. I recommend ordering the banana fried spring rolls with ice cream on the side.

Pad Thai, Curry and Kai Kaprow Gai Sub are delicious! Clearly the best Thai food in PG County and comparable to anything you can get in DC or Northern Virginia. Can't go wrong here!

We ate dinner on a Thursday night. We ordered the shrimp in soy wrapper appetizer, crispy duck basil (a crowd pleaser) and the seafood specialty (shellfish platter with soft shell crab). All fried up crispy sizzly savory and beautifully. Washed down with a couple Thai teas plus water. Not a Thai foodie but this is my favorite Thai restaurant if you asked me. If you are shopping at Tanger Outlets or don't see anything you like at the National Harbor, you might consider driving 5 minutes south on 210 to get here. It's worth it.

My friend is back in town and the only place on his mind is Bangkok Golden. We had dinner here last night and we are back again. We had delicious pad thai and Bangkok fried rice tonight with a perfect calamari appetizer. Yummy!

All time great Pad Thai. I also really like the Papaya salad and the spring rolls. But seriously, the pad thai though. I order it extra spicy and then ask for the hot dry spice on the side to add an extra kick. Quite possibly the best pad thai in the world and I've had pad thai all over the world.

I so happy to find such excellent food in this area. The food is stellar - have had the curries and the pad thai. It is in a nice setting, with beautiful art decorating the walls. Service is quite good. Many believe it is the best thai food around, and I don't disagree.

The food here is ok the portion sizes are ok. I am pescatarian and they up-charge anytime you ask them to take chicken, pork, and beef out of their combination dishes. I asked them for several different dishes if they could keep the shrimp in the combination dishes and remove the other forms of meet and I was told only if they charged me an additional fee. I found this to be quite ridiculous. I take time patronizing smaller businesses but not when there are irrational practices in place. If you are starved and need Thai cuisine without entering into Washington, D.C. this may be it for you. Otherwise if you are pescatarian I would say keep it moving to the next establishment.

WOW WOW WOW We where in DC for the kids spring break and found this place.... It's def gonna be a place that we'll be coming back for sure... We had this fresh fish dish... Ugghhh... I couldn't remember the name of the dish for the life of me...But trust me it's heaven... Everything in their menu looks great... From pad thai, fish fried rice... This spot is about 15 minutes away from my apartment, but that's not why I love it! They have the best soup/food, and are always willing to make a vegetarian version of whatever is on the menu. I highly recommend the lemongrass shrimp soup, pad thai, and Massaman Curry! I love everything I try, and always look for an excuse to eat out here. They also have a lunch special during the week!! It makes me want to call in sick to my 9 - 5 just so I can enjoy the deal...but that seems silly!

*UPDATE* 2/22/15 Went back today to have lunch and was COMPLETELY blown away! My Bangkok fried rice and Bangkok lo mein was to DIE for! Great flavor, just the right amount of heat... It's been almost two years since I've been, maybe the management changed or something, but either way my meal was fresh, hot, and service was attentive. I take back what I said about them before! They have a new fan! Previous review: Tried this place yesterday due to raving Yelp reviews. Usually my fellow Yelpers are spot on, but this place wasn't good at ALL. I spent $40 and I am so disappointed I don't even care to eat the leftovers. I ordered chicken pad thai, spring rolls, shrimp fried rice, and the pad kra tium prik thai with chicken. Not a single dish was spicy, like not even a little bit. The fried rice was a bit too fishy for my taste and the tium prik was basically just chicken and broccoli swimming in some watery, flavorless broth. The spring rolls were dry and lifeless. I thought I was finding a local gem but I was wrong. Maybe the other location is better, but sadly I was so turned off I wouldn't give the other place a shot anyway.

Horrible restaurant! Ordered 2 appetizers and 3 entrees, waitress forgot to bring 1 appetizer so we asked if it was coming to a passing waiter. Waitress who had taken the order became snappish and raised her voice that we never ordered I, creating a scene when she could've simply said "it's on the way." after that she never came back, random waiters came to deliver food and check. She never brought the drinks.Food totally was not 4-stars. As you can see from my profile, I haven't given a bad review. Sigh! I guess there is a first for everything.

For several years now, I've been a server and a bartender. I don't give reviews lightly and am always very candid. I'm no expert on Thai cuisine, but this was my introduction to it. My family and I have been going here since it's been open, though I can't remember how many years ago that was. The wait staff has almost always been warm and provided accurate, prompt service. Only once has there ever been the slightest of hiccups, which is too trifling to even mention. They are always willing to modify food and very rarely charge you for it, unless of course you're looking to add more protein. The food is filling, well priced, delicious, and wonderfully complex. My favorites include the Thai Iced Tea, the Fried Squid, the Green Curry with Pork, and the Spicy Squid with Basil (I don't even know if the last one is on the menu anymore, but they still allow us to order it). The portions are fair for the prices, especially considering that other Thai restaurants in the area can change anywhere from $2-$5 more for similar items and for its proximity to DC. That being said, it isn't the best Thai food that I've had, but its certainly some of the best in the area which is why I've given it 4 stars. I only say this because I like my Green Curry a bit thicker (more coconut milk I think?) than how they prepare it here. Otherwise, it is a wonderful place and my family and I will continue to dine and entertain guests there.

This is a great family style thai resturant in our neighborhood. We often get take out or dine in. My kids love the satay. I am a big fan of the soft shell crab as well as the Shrimp Tempura. The service is always great. The chicken fried rice has a great flavor and the pad thai is one of the best I have had.

This place is great. People wouldn't think its that good because of the location but the food and service is amazing. I like the pad se ew with shrimp and chicken. If you like hot sauce ask for their special containers of sauces. The spicy lime chicken soup is also good but during lunch it is complimentary so bonus.

I've been here at least a dozen times (only dined-in once), the employees are always friendly, my order is always correct, and the food is delicious. I usually order the Bangkok Noodles or Drunken Noodles and I highly recommend them both. I've also tried the green curry and enjoyed it. Today I ordered #45, not bad but I would've preferred one if my "regulars". I'll definitely be back again.

I think this is the location I went to. I'm not a local, but my friend who's grown up in this area all her life and comes to this restaurant frequently brought me here for lunch when I was visiting DC. They started us off with some yummy soup, and then we ordered. I ordered the Bangkok Noodle: "Combination of chicken, beef and shrimps stir-fried with wide rice noodle in Thai herb sauce, onion, bell pepper and fresh basil." It was delicious...and the basil was strong but not overpowering or disgusting (like it can be sometimes). I was tempted to get the pad see ew, but I can get that anywhere, so I'm glad I got the Bangkok Noodle. Their pad thai is good too, and I am REALLY picky about pad thai...I think I've only said it was good maybe three times ever. Thai iced tea was delicious too, and I rarely say that too. I couldn't finish my entire dish, but thankfully my nice big Korean friend finished off my plate for me in addition to his order. :) Total came out to be about $11 including tax and tip! Food is great, prices are a bit high, but damn the food is good. I have been going here for years and I have to say it's second to none in the area. Personally I have not had a bad experience, but people I know have recounted the staff often being "stiff" and "cheap" but I won't bad mouth them on this review. My favorite dishes are: 1. I've been coming here every now and then for some time now. It's the best Thai restaurant in Ft. Washington. Of course, it's the ONLY Thai restaurant in Ft. Washington, but that's besides the point. It's a diamond in the rough. There aren't a lot of restaurants in this area, let alone good ones. But Bangkok Golden is the shiz. The dining room is well kept and the dim lighting creates a nice ambience. As soon as you walk in you're greeted and seated. The menu has a lot of choices and the food is top notch. I normally order the drunken noodles and papaya salad and they never disappoint. Tonight I also had the spicy seafood talay. Tender and succulent soft shelled crab, mussels, scallops and shrimp with vegetables and a brown spicy sauce. NOM NOM NOM. And when eating Thai, I always have a Thai Iced tea. My only complaint about this place is that the tables, as nice as they are, always seem to be a little rickety. Also, the waitresses don't seem to come and check my drink levels enough. Too bad they don't have the table buzzer like the Korean joints. Oh well. This is still a fantastic place to eat.

I love going to this restaurant. I'm Thai and this is real Thai food! Spicy and tasty. My favorite is Tom Lao! If you want spicy food, you can say" Ped Ped" it means...spicy :D

I saw good reviews on this so we tried today, wasn't bad place had a good flow of traffic couples and family. I don't know it was lacking flavor to me, maybe it's what I ordered. Food was hot and fresh, just lacking flavor to me.....maybe cause I asked for mild spice...... But I have had thai before and asked for mild spice and I still got lots of ginger, basil and other good flavor profiles from dishes. Service was kind of kooky waitresses seemed a bit frazzled at times, but food came out fast. My son liked this place, so maybe I will try again, and will order other dishes..... Perhaps on a weekday when we can sample off of the lunch menu.......

I've been going here for years. Customer service is great, as well as the food. Their Pad Thai is my favorite, and the calamari. One thing I also enjoyed was the Chicken Rama & Crispy Pork. You also have to finish with the Fried banana Desert. Overall I love this place.

Went to this place because of fellow yelped recommendations when we were in the area. Decor and setting very average. Didn't like the drinker noodles, which were oily and didn't have enough veggies. Loved the country curry, which was spicy and filled with the veggies left out of the noodles. Sort of mixed feelings, but fine if you're in the area.
